Jazzed Up Wood
Roy Wood breaks a long silence and talks to HARRY DOHERTY

Tape recorder off, Roy Wood typically loosens up, revealing a few of his franker thoughts.  “I’ve written something like 30 hit songs, you know,” he whispers, and I am astounded that his total is so high.  “It’s not easy now to accept that I’m not a success any more.”

Roy Out Of The Doldrums

After a long time in the doldrums Roy Wood has bounced back with a new album and a new band.
Between '72 and '75 Wood was never out of the charts but he has been lying low of late.
"Super Active Wizzo" is the new album by Wood and his band Wizzo.  As always with Wood, the album was produced, arranged and almost completely composed by himself.
The Wizzo band presents a new venture for Roy Wood, a further continuation of one of the most colourful characters in British Rock.
